Whether you’re crafting a short story, reflecting on your identity, or analyzing a novel—your voice belongs here.

How to submit
What You Can Submit
Lumen Review publishes work in three main categories.
- Creative Writing
- Academic Review
- Opinion & Essays
Each category reflects different ways of thinking, writing, and seeing the world.

Creative Writing
What we publish
Poetry, short fiction, and personal narratives that reveal creativity, emotion, and original voice.
You can submit
- Types: Poetry, short stories, narrative essays, lyrical prose
- Length: 500–1500 words
Evaluation - Creativity, originality of voice, emotional authenticity
Feedback - Focused on expression and style

Academic Review
What we publish
Essays that demonstrate research, analysis, and clear thinking.
You can submit
- Types: Research-based essays, book/research reviews, comparative analysis
- Length: 1000–2000 words
Evaluation - Clarity of problem statement, depth of analysis, credibility of sources
Feedback - Focused on logic and critical thinking

Opinion & Essays
What we publish
Cultural reflections, personal views, and real-world insights from the next generation.
You can submit
- Opinion pieces on current affairs, culture, society
- Length: 800–1500 words
Evaluation - Insight, originality, balance in argumentation
Feedback - Focused on persuasive structure and clarity of perspective

Submission Guidelines
All submissions must be written in English
Maximum 3 pieces per student (submit each in a separate email)
Do not submit work that has been previously published
No simultaneous submissions
Formatting
File type: .docx or Google Docs link
Font: Times New Roman or similar, size 12
File name format: Title_Category_YourFirstName.docx

All submissions are blind-reviewed by our student editorial team.
You’ll hear back within 2–3 weeks with one of the following responses:
